Our Story

The mission of the Adjustable Door Wedge is to make lives easier on people, especially those who suffer from neck, back and knee pain.  It is an item of great convenience to be used on doors everywhere:  homes, offices and industries.

 

I had recently undergone neck surgery and was bedridden for quite some time.  As I lay there, my bedroom door kept swinging shut.  My husband and I purchased a standard door stop, put it in place, but the door continued to swing shut.

 

We then bought a door stop the next size up, but frustratingly the door still swung shut.  We bought yet another door stop which claimed to be industrial strength, and that one did not hold either.  We even tried one of our dog’s sturdy toys to hold the door open, and it did not work.  In the meantime, my dog had chewed up the first door stop we had purchased.

 

Needless to say, we were at our wit’s end, and my husband’s wheels started turning.   After many days of discussing and writing down ideas of how to create a door stop that would fit any door and keep it in place, we came up with the Adjustable Door Wedge.  We also took into consideration ease of use.  Since we know many people suffering from neck, back and knee pain, we devised our product to avoid bending down.  The Adjustable Door Wedge is made to be utilized on either side:  just drop it, step on it and set it under your door.  The springs adjust the door wedge to fit under your door, no matter the size of the opening.  This makes lives much easier and keeps doors from swinging shut!
